New York City (better late than never)

We managed 4 days in New York before the Vancouver leg of our Journey. Took in the usual Sights and sounds of the city. To me, NY was a lot like London, only with a grid pattern of streets, and much larger cars!

Day 1 - Took a "hop-on / hop-off" open bus tour through upper Manhattan - was good, and allowed us to settle into the city

Day 2 - Took the same bus, but towards lower Manhattan, and jumped off at the ferry to Ellis island - purchased our tickets, and then decided NOT to wait the 2hrs it would take to get on the ferry, and instead took the free Staten Island Ferry.

Day 3 - Took the bus again (had 72hr ticket) to Museum of Natural History - spend the whole day there, looking at Dinosaur bones, and other exhibits. Followed by an evening stroll through Central Park

Day 4 - Went shopping! Mostly for new Camera gear (woot!), then visited the viewing platforms of Rockafeller centre at sunset.
